Heading to the Madejski Stadium to face off against Reading at the weekend, Sheffield Wednesday ultimately came home with all three points following a 2-1 victory.

Goals on the day came from Adam Reach and Lucas Joao to tie the points up and it’s no surprise to see Whoscored struggled to split them based on their performance in terms of the statistics algorithym they use.

When sorting the graphic out on Saturday evening for this piece, Reach had it by the narrowest of margins as he was originally given a rating of 8.25 on the day, but checking again on Sunday they had dropped his rating to 8.18 and after whatever corrections were made, Lucas Joao now sat in top spot with a rating of 8.19 to take their ‘star man’ moniker from the game.

I think the only sensible thing to do here is recognise the efforts of both of them for the part they played in picking up the victory.
