Sheffield Wednesday lost 5-3 to Fulham on Saturday afternoon but Atdhe Nuhiu was one of the few players to come away with any credit. The 30-year-old came off the bench in the second half and bagged two goals to take his tally to a half-century in Wednesday’s colours. Supporters were disappointed with the result but happy with Nuhiu’s contribution.

Who did Sheffield Wednesday sign Josh Windass on loan from?

Against Fulham, Nuhiu played for 45 minutes, had 22 touches, won six aerial duels, completed 66.7% of his 12 passes, created two chances, had five shots with two hitting the target, gave away two fouls, made one clearance and had one dribble.

The £360k-rated striker joined Wednesday on a free transfer from Rapid Vienna in 2013 and has gone on to make 276 appearances in all competitions, scoring 50 goals with 27 assists. Nuhiu has made 40 appearances across the board this season, scoring seven with four assists, but this could be his last campaign at Hillsborough.

Nuhiu is out of contract this summer and only extended his deal for another month, so he may not be retained past 2020 as he’s fallen down the pecking order. Time will tell.
