According to the Sheffield Star, Sheffield Wednesday haven’t ‘received a former offer’ for Morgan Fox despite Huddersfield Town, Nottingham Forest and West Bromwich Albion being linked with a move for the 26-year-old.

Fox has an uncertain future at Wednesday as he’s out of contract in the coming months, but the left-back has had an offer on the table since January and doesn’t have a bid to contend with, so he appears to be staying at Hillsborough.

Who did Sheffield Wednesday sign Josh Windass on loan from?

Wednesday’s assistant manager Lee Bullen revealed on Wednesday that talks with Fox are ongoing despite a lack of progress being made. The Owls are ‘confident’ that he’ll put pen to paper on an extension.

Huddersfield were linked with Fox last month, but they have Jaden Brown and Harry Toffolo at their disposal, so it remains to be seen if they need the 26-year-old.

Forest were allegedly looking to replace Jack Robinson and Ben Osborn too, but the Foxes have Yuri Ribeiro and Gaëtan Bong in the squad.

West Brom were tipped to make a move to replace Nathan Ferguson, but the Baggies still have Kieran Gibbs and Connor Townsend who can operate in the role.

It’s great news for Garry Monk that clubs aren’t circling Fox, but supporters will be waiting for his new deal to get over the line.
