Sheffield Wednesday made the trip to the University of Bolton Stadium in Tuesday evening’s Championship clash.

Manager Steve Bruce was looking for another positive result that at least kept our unbeaten run going under his charge and he got that and then some as goals from Steven Fletcher and on loan Newcastle winger Rolando Aarons in each half gave us a reasonably comfortable 2-0 victory on the night.

Although Bruce spoke about the conditions following the game, statistics website Whoscored were incredibly positive in their player ratings given our efforts across the 90 minutes.

Scottish midfielder Barry Bannan took their star man award with a rating of 8.17 for his efforts and assist on the day, and he was closely followed by goalscorer Fletcher (8.04) and Michael Hector (8.03). Completing the top five best performers in their eyes were Aarrons (7.96) and Dominic Iorfa (7.95).

Also with sevem-plus scores were Adam Reach, Tom Lees and Sam Hutchinson.

A good night all around.
