Who did Sheffield Wednesday sign Josh Windass on loan from?

With Jacob Murphy, Josh Windass and Alessio Da Cruz coming to the end of their loan deals this summer, Garry Monk may be considering an internal solution. Whether Hidalgo can nail down a starting place next season will depend on how well he trains with the squad.

The 21-year-old joined Wednesday on a free transfer from US Triestina in January and has yet to make a first-team appearance. Hidalgo made 30 appearances for his former club but has been resigned to playing in the U23s until coaches deemed him ready to progress.

The Sheffield Star say that time has come and believe he will be joining fellow youngsters Osaze Urhoghide and Alex Hunt in the first-team next season.

Wednesday still have nine games remaining of the campaign, starting with a meeting with Nottingham Forest on June 20, so Hidalgo may have to wait a number of months before getting a proper look-in under Monk.
