Wednesday are back in action at Hillsborough after the international break, that saw success for each of the h I me nations.

Wednesday take on Yorkshire rivals Huddersfield Town tomorrow (4th April), with the club reminding both sets of fans that tickets are available on the turnstiles from 1:30pm in all areas of the ground.

Wednesday are expected to receive a boost with the potential return of central defender Kamil Zayatte and striker Sergiu Bus to the match day squad. However the pair of Jeremy Helan and Loanee Will Keane are struggling to shake off their injury’s in time.

Wide man Helan sustained a groin injury last time out against Rotherham and Will Keane is still nursing an ankle injury despite receiving positive news from his scan. Both could be in contention to feature against Chris Powell’s side. Midfielder Sam Hutchinson is understood to have recovered from the rib injury sustained at Rotherham, and following international duty Scotland striker Stevie May, Ireland goalkeeper Keiren Westwood and DR Congo winger Jacques Maghoma have all returned from international duty unscathed.

This allows Owls boss Stuart Gray the chance to pick from squad that only excludes long term absentees Jose Semedo, Glenn Loovens and Liam Palmer. Having spoken about offering a chance to the younger squad players in recent interviews it wouldn’t be a surprise to see some named in the match day squad tomorrow.

Suffering from indifferent form in recent weeks, Huddersfield boss Chris Powell and his players would be forgiven for having one eye on the the Championship relegation places, but with the form of Millwall, Wigan, Rotherham and Blackpool it seems unlikely that the Terriers will be forced into a battle for survival.

Town could had a debut to Left-back Reece James who has joined from Manchester United until the end of the season and is expected to feature, while striker James Vaughan will return to contention following his one-game ban.

Midfielder Jonathan Hogg faces a late fitness test to make the game and
Bermudian Striker Nahki Wells and on-loan defender Canadian David Edgar similar to the Wednesday trio, both returned from international duty unscathed.

Earlier in the season Wednesday played out a rather dull goalless draw against Huddersfield and both sets of supporters will not be wanting a repeat of that performance at Hillsborough. Many may want a repeat of the entertainment witnessed during the 4-4 draw between the sides in League One, in which a certain Scottish teammate of Stevie May struck all four goals for Huddersfield.
