Wednesday have completed the signing of young Wolves defender Danny Batth on an emergency loan deal until the end of the season.
Batth, a product of the Premier League club’s Academy, is expected to go straight into Wednesday’s squad for the trip to Southampton in npower League One on Saturday.
Owls boss Gary Megson will be looking for the youngster to help stop the wave of goals Wednesday have been conceding in recent weeks and months – something which has seen them slide alarmingly down the table.
Megson has tried a number of options in his defence but is seemingly keen to add more defensive options to his squad.
The centre-back has had previous loan spells at Colchester United and across the city at Sheffield United.
