The EFL have now released and confirmed the full fixture lists for the season ahead in 2018/19.

Earlier this morning fans of all Football League clubs saw themselves pouring over the lists as they planned out the campaign ahead, and plenty more who haven’t yet had the opportunity to do that will no doubt follow as the day progresses.
For Wednesday, we open the year on Saturday 4th August as we travel to the DW Stadium to face Wigan Athletic who return to the second tier of English football from League One having won the title with 98 points last season.
The first Steel City of the 2018/19 campaign takes place on Saturday 10th November as we make the short trip to Bramall Lane to face Chris Wilder’s side. The return leg on home soil at Hillsborough follows later in the year on Saturday 2nd March.
There are some new grounds to visit this year for the travelling fan, joining us from the Premier League are West Bromwich Albion, Stoke City and Swansea City and coming up with Wigan are Blackburn Rovers and Rotherham United. Not exactly unknown opposition but some haven’t been faced for a while so will mix things up nicely.
