Portuguese Sports Media A-Bola are reporting that Sheffield Wednesday are likely to once again be raiding Carlos Carvalhal`s home nation for talent. Carvalhal and his performance at S6 has earned him respect in Portugal.

The workaholic coach is reported to be keen to add to his squad using his great knowledge of players, coaches, teams and academies in Portugal. A-Bola have revealed that Wednesday had a representative at the match between Vitoria Setubal and Rio Ave on Friday November 25th. Alongside the Owls a host of European sides are circling players in Southern Europe including Manchester United, Arsenal, Bordeaux, Nice, Saint Etienne, FC Koln, Genoa, PAOK and Steaua București.

Given the Owls have players transfer listed and talent that should be moved on come the January transfer window in the new year, recruitment may have to wait at least at first team level until those players are moved on. It remains to be seen at development squad and academy level.
