Wednesday await League Cup draw

Wednesday are awaiting the draw for the third round of the Capital One Cup.

Stuart Gray’s side secured their place in the hat for the next round thanks to a 1-0 victory over Premier League Burnley on Tuesday night.

The draw for the third round takes place tonight following completion of the remaining cup matches and the Owls will be targeting a plum draw.

City rivals Sheffield United remain in the competition thanks to a penalty shoot-out success at West Ham United, while top-flight teams involved in European competition enter the fray.
