Garry Monk was heavily criticised for his squad selection after Sheffield Wednesday lost 1-0 away to Luton Town on Wednesday night. Fernando Forestieri surprisingly started at left wing-back and was substituted at half-time despite not faring too badly in the makeshift role.
Supporters vented their fury at Monk for the decision and believe he got it all wrong at Kenilworth Road. Wednesday have now gone five games without a win, picking up just two points from a possible 15. The Owls are nine points adrift of the playoffs after 32 games and look destined for midtable mediocrity.
Unbelievable selection and then takes him off at half time, leaving Windass on.

When you defense is low on confidence switching to a back 5 makes sense to tighten things up but you don't put a player like Forestieri at lwb that's absolutely ludicrous. Odubajo had an OK game at lb so why wasn't he at lwb? Or switch sides with Palmer.

Forestieri made up a back-five of Julian Borner, Dominic Iorfa, Tom Lees and Liam Palmer. The 30-year-old retained possession well, had a number of chances and turned over the ball multiple times, but he was still replaced by Kadeem Harris after 45 minutes.
As per WhoScored, Forestieri had 37 touches, took three shots, completed 90% of his 20 passes, made one interception, whipped in two crosses with 50% accuracy, made three tackles, drew two fouls and had one successful dribble. It remains to be seen what Monk will do with Forestieri when Wednesday face Reading on Saturday, however.
