Wednesday made a successful return to Championship action after the October International break, with a hard earned victory over high flying Huddersfield Town at the John Smith`s Stadium.
Fernando Forestieri was once again the difference maker between the two Yorkshire sides. Owls boss Carlos Carvalhal spoke of his delight at the successful implementation of his game plan, speaking to swfc.co.uk, he said:
“Today we played against a very strong team. They have a good dynamic and they cause a lot of problems to all the teams they play.
“However, we had plenty of time to prepare the game and learn how to play against Huddersfield.
“We worked very hard and everybody defended, including the strikers, and we blocked their dynamic.
“We put in a lot of work in the training so that we didn`t come up against any surprises today.
“Today was a victory of quality.
“People ask me a lot about the partnerships in our team, but I don`t agree with this, because there`s only one partnership that matters, and that is Sheffield Wednesday as a whole.”
