Wednesday will look to bounce back from consecutive defeats when they make the trip to play-off chasing Nottingham Forest on Tuesday night.

The Owls slipped to defeats against Watford and Leicester City in their last two matches and their task gets no easier against a Forest side sitting five points adrift of the top-six and desperate for a victory that will aid their chances of promotion.

The hosts will be out to hit back from a disappointing defeat of their own at the weekend when they went down 2-1 at home against Millwall with Gary Brazil taking charge of Forest until Stuart Pearce succeeds him at the end of the season. Forest have not won in their last eleven matches.

Vital Quotes:

Owls boss Stuart Gray told the official SWFC website:

“You`re always looking for weaknesses to exploit, Forest haven`t won in 11 and have lost back to back home games against Charlton and Millwall – two games they were probably expected to win.

“That just shows what the Championship is like. But we`ll have to start right and be on the front foot. We can`t let them dictate the pace.”

Nottingham Forest Team News:

Forest will be out to end a run of eleven matches without a win in a bid to keep their play-off hopes on-track.

The City Ground club have Gary Brazil in charge until the end of the season and are five points adrift of the top six with six matches to play this term – meaning three points against the Owls are crucial.

Henri Lansbury could be a welcome returnee for Forest after returning from a long injury lay-off at the weekend while Danny Fox could also be back after missing the weekend defeat to Millwall for personal reasons.

Player to watch: Greg Halford

The former Blades man will be keen to impress against his former foes and to keep his side’s play-off hopes on-track.

Wednesday Team News:

Owls boss Stuart Gray will be forced to shuffle his pack after suffering a brace of defensive casualties in the 2-1 loss at Leicester City last Friday.

Glenn Loovens and Oguchi Onyewu are both expected to be absent for the trip to the City Ground after suffering injuries at the King Power Stadium.

Gray could stick with the same defence that finished the match, with Lewis Buxton joining Miguel Llera at centre-back and Liam Palmer starting at right-back, a position he’s held for a long spell already this season.

Player to watch: Michail Antonio

The Owls will look to take advantage of Forest’s frail defence of late and in Michail Antonio Stuart Gray has a player capable of hitting Tuesday’s hosts on the break.
