With the January transfer window just around the corner, we’re asking just what are the main areas Wednesday need to strengthen next month.

Owls boss Gary Megson has made no secret of his desire to strengthen his squad when the transfer window re-opens next month.

Defender Danny Batth has already agreed to an extension of his loan deal until the end of the season from Wolves, while winger Ben Marshall is also expected to remain at Hillsborough for the remainder of the season from Stoke City.

Goalkeeper Stephen Bywater, who enjoyed a loan spell at Wednesday earlier this season as cover for Nicky Weaver, is also understood to be on Megson’s shortlist in January.

The list isn’t expected to stop there with Megson looking for nothing less than promotion to the Championship this season after the Owls missed out by a distance last term.

Owls chairman Milan Mandaric is set to provide the funds to strengthen, so which areas would you want to see Wednesday bolster in January, if any.

A new midfielder to replace to departing James O’Connor? A new goalkeeper? More firepower in attack?
