Later on today Sheffield Wednesday will make an appearance at The Valley down south to take on Charlton Athletic in the Sky Bet Championship. Charlton are currently sitting further down the table than they`d like to be and with Wednesday on an unbeaten run of 11 games in all competitions and just a point outside the play off places, our scalps will definitely be on their minds. A team that are struggling is always a difficult place to visit as they will be desperate to get points on the board.
Wednesday forward Atdhe Nuhiu certainly pushed this as he met with the press earlier this week.
“We need to do our best for every game. Charlton is a tough place to go.”
“They will be fighting. It will be one of the toughest games.”
Carlos Carvalhal, Wednesday Head Coach, also pushed this idea when he appeared before the media on the same day.
“Charlton Athletic are a dangerous team but they have a good challenge in us too.”
“We must be alert. It won`t be an easy game.”
Carlos knows the dangers of struggling teams and will go out all guns blazing.
“At no moment I can say our team won`t fight. We will fight for the 3 points.”
“No game is a comfortable one in this league.”
From this we can take that Carvalhal is certainly not one for underestimating teams, especially teams that are struggling. WE can expect him to put a strong side out to ensure that we go towards the break a happy team and 3 points better off.
