Wednesday face a familiar face from their past, yes it’s the return of Wednesday Vs Warnock! This time he takes charge of lowly Cardiff City. The Bluebirds have been cannon fodder for many teams this season. Much like Rotherham United where until his arrival there last season. So, can the Owls do what they failed to do last season and overcome Warnock`s relegation zone battlers? The EFL have announced the match officials for the Owls visit to the Bluebirds of Cardiff –

Cardiff City v Sheffield Wednesday
Referee – Darren Bond
Assistants – Adam Matthews and Daniel Leach
Fourth Official – Andy Woolmer

Match Referee Bond last was in charge of an Owls` match when they famously overcame Bristol City 3 – 2 thanks to a Kieran Lee winner in the dying seconds. He was EFL official throughout last season and was in charge of 36 games in the 2015/16 season. This season he has taken charge of 11 fixtures across the EFL and handed out 31 bookings and has sent off four players. He has predominately taking charge of Championship as well as domestic cup competitions.
