Sheffield Wednesday defender Morgan Fox has again been the subject of ire amongst Owls fans following his performance in the 2-1 defeat to Mansfield Town on Tuesday evening.
With the game taking the headlines for all the wrong reasons really – a defeat to League Two opposition and a mass brawl at the end of the game – it’s fair to say it hasn’t done much for the optimism of fans ahead of the coming 2018/19 Championship campaign.
Having found ourselves 2-0 down at one stage in the game, Adam Reach did save himself from some criticism having scored the own goal as the 25-year-old grabbed our consolation in the second half. Fox, however, wasn’t as fortunate as the 24-year-old once again became the go-to target for fans as they vented their frustrations at the game on social media.
The reported £700,000 signing from Charlton Athletic back in the 2017 January transfer window is still struggling to win fans over, as the Tweets below show.
Some players are just easy targets regardless though.
If Fox stays as a full back we’ll end up in league one

It is a team game but I would be inclined to say Fox isn't of championship quality and is possibly one of the weak links. From what I saw at Lincoln backs up that statement.

Nice to see Morgan Fox still can't play football

I can safely say we are going down this season if we continue with Palmer and Fox in this team #swfc

Morgan fox is stealing a living

Fair, still pre-season, but they know that if they don't turn up they shouldn't get a start in the league. I hope that is the case now under Jos. Carlos still played people regardless of form, I trust Jos to be more sensible.
