Bristol Rovers midfielder Chris Lines looks set to complete a move to Wednesday today, according to reports.

The 25-year-old is understood to be having a medical at Hillsborough ahead of a permanent switch to S6 from the League Two side.

Owls boss Gary Megson has already completed deals for strikers Chris O’Grady and Daniel Uchechi this week and looks set to make Lines, who’s made 167 first team appearances for the Pirates, his third addition of the week.

Lines was expected to move to Crystal Palace over the summer after the midfielder enjoyed a week-long stint at Selhurst Park, but the Eagles didn’t follow up their interest.

And the Owls look to have swooped for the highly-rated midfield man, with a deal expected to be announced within the next 24 hours.
