With just under an hour to go in the summer’s permanent transfer window, life has been relatively quiet at Hillsborough so far today.
It was always going to be that way on an incoming front owing to our ‘temporary’ transfer embargo owing to Financial Fair Play issues, but the main worry for Owls fans was always going to be potential departures – and we simply have to hope that no news is good news on that front as 5pm ticks ever nearer.
Midfielder and Wednesday star Barry Bannan had his devious head on earlier today, and one tweet sent social media into meltdown.

The tongue in cheek remark made have been harmless, or Bannan may have been playing with the faithful, whatever the truth to that may be when it comes to the Scottish midfielder, fans were quick to lap it up and actually enjoy the meltdown moment as they responded in kind suggesting ways for Bannan and Fernando Forestieri in particular, to avoid any unexpected and unwelcomed (from our perspective) moves on deadline day.
