A young Wednesday reserves side went down to a 2-0 defeat at Derby County this afternoon to remain rock-bottom of the totesport.com Central Division.

Chris Porter and Conor Doyle bagged the goals for the hosts either side of the break to send Derby up to third in the division.

The Rams, who fielded a couple of experienced players in their squad, fully deserved the victory against a young Wednesday side who have struggled for results throughout the reserve campaign so far this season.

They’ve picked up just one point from ten games this season but will be more interested in gaining much-needed match experience as they look to continue their development through the Owls Academy.
