The latest poll on Vital Sheffield Wednesday asks whether YOU think Glenn Whelan should remain on the Owls transfer list or not? He’s made a good start to the season, but do we need the money? Have YOUR say!

Owls boss Paul Sturrock placed the Republic Of Ireland under-21 international on the Owls transfer list at the start of the season – to the surprise of some Owls fans.

And Whelan, a former Manchester City academy product, has come up trumps this season with some excellent performances in the middle of the park for Wednesday – namely alongside Owls newboy Yoann Folly before his injury.

So do you think the hard-working midfielder deserves his place on the transfer list or should the Owls gaffer take him off it before we receive an offer for him and never see him play in the famous blue and white stripes again?

The current Owls first-teamer certainly wasn’t Mr Popular at Hillsborough last season with some less than impressive performances. But it was just his second full season as a pro, and his first in the Championship.

Will his fine form continue as the season progresses, or will it begin to faulter as soon as Sturrock takes him off the list? He is playing for his future at S6 afterall…
