Wednesday could turn their attentions to trying to sign West Ham striker Sam Baldock after missing out on a loan deal for Fulham’s Marcelo Trotta.
Trotta was Owls boss Gary Megson’s number one target to bolster his attacking options but he’s opted to move to Watford on-loan today.
The failed swoop means Megson has turned his attentions to Baldock, according to reports, and he could bring him in on-loan before Sunday’s Sheffield derby.
Baldock has featured for the Hammers this season but he’s down the pecking order at Upton Park.
