Wednesday face an away day battle similar to the one they faced at S6 in midweek! You know those matches that your team surely must win! Wednesday well placed in the EFL Championships frontrunners face a side who are keeping Rotherham and Wigan company at the foot of the table and despite the arrival of Gate-Gate (maybe time to Google this) Ross McCormack are still fighting for their lives to avoid a drop to England’s third tier in the shape of hapless Nottingham Forest.

Wednesday need to continue their fine run of February form and claim another victory before the sides they face get tougher in the coming weeks as the season ebbs towards a climax.

Wednesday boss Carlos Carvalhal says his team are full of confidence after three wins on the spin, scoring six and conceding just one and that was an own goal too! The Owls head coach explained to

“We are in a good way, winning points and in a good position. I just have reasons to be very, very happy with my team, with the club, with the fans, understanding we are in a good way to achieve more victories.

“We are playing again after a short time, we win the last three and this is something very positive.

“But the most important to me is to focus on the next game.”

That is at the City Ground against a Forest side who have lost their last two outings on the road. But, the Reds have won three in a row at home, you wouldn’t know it given the atmosphere on the River Trent as fans do battle with the clubs clueless owner to move on but unrelenting Fawaz stays put. With that backdrop and expecting another tough test, Carlos continued:

“Victories give confidence to all the teams in the world but now we live with the present and that is Nottingham forest.

“They are not an easy team to play against, it will be a very interesting game.

“It will be a very hard game for sure especially at their home, but they will play against a strong team with big confidence.”

Will the Owls inflict another double over Forest Hit the onside pill with your vote!
