Wednesday returned from a difficult match in the Capital with the maximum haul of three points. Thanks to Lucas Joao’s tidy solo finish went put in the clear by the Brentford centre backs mistake. Despite a squad ravaged by injury, last season’s playoff place finishers Brentford provided a stiff test for the Owls as they will for all Championship visitors this season.
But in a week when Wednesday beat Newcastle United away at St James’ Park, it was the trip to London that proved to be more difficult.
