Despite all the speculation swirling around Hillsborough at the moment when it comes to those players we know we want to keep, but are out of contract, it seems some good news may be on the horizon when it comes to Sheffield Wednesday trio Keiren Westwood, Liam Palmer and Kieran Lee.
On Sunday, journalist Alan Nixon took to social media to suggest that ‘positive signs’ were afoot about new deals being done for all three players.
SHEFF W. Very positive signs about a deal for Westwood and Palmer. Word is agreed to give both a couple of years. Lee to get short term deal to prove fit too.

On the Westwood front that will be massive news given how he ended the campaign under manager Steve Bruce having become a forgotten man under former gaffer Jos Luhukay, as the speculation about his future, in particular, has been rife with claim and counterclaim about where the 34-year-old Republic of Ireland international would be plying his trade in the coming 2019/20 campaign.
We just have to hope the deals get over the line nice and quickly now so this speculation can be put to bed.
