Wednesday striker Marcus Tudgay has today completed a loan move to Championship side Nottingham Forest with a view to a permanent deal.

Forest completed the move for the 27-year-old before today’s 5pm loan transfer deadline and Tudgay will go straight into the Forest squad that travels to Leicester City on Monday.

The former Derby County hitman looks to have played his last game in the famous blue and white stripes, with Billy Davies expected to make the move a permanent one in the January transfer window.

Forest have been looking to bolster their attacking options before the loan window shuts until January.

The City Ground club had been looking to sign Leicester striker Matty Fryatt but have instead snapped up Tudgay, who started his career with their bitter rivals Derby.
