It’s becoming another one of those months for Sheffield Wednesday fans given our run of form under heavily criticised manager Jos Luhukay and making the trip to the Liberty Stadium to face Swansea City wasn’t expected to be a walk in the park.

We went into the game sat in 17th place in the Championship table, whilst Swansea were five points ahead of us in 12th place, but rather bizarrely over the last five games, form wise, there was only a single points difference.

After a goalless first half, Marco Matias gave us the lead just after the hour mark and Swansea did dominate the game, but it took a very late show from them to take the points from us.

Two goals in the space of two minutes was enough as Sheffield Wednesday crumbled at the back and we now slip to 18th in the table and have racked up seven losses from the last ten matches.

With pressure mounting on the gaffer, the clear frustration he showed as he spoke to the BBC at the fulltime whistle suggests it’s beginning to take its toll.

“It’s very hard to take, it is totally frustrating to give away a 1-0 lead in a couple of minutes. We didn’t defend down our left side twice and that is not acceptable, you have to run with your opponent, I have tried to coach this three or four times but it is not going in their heads. I am so angry because the players are showing no proof of what we are doing. It is not the first time we give a 1-0 lead away for the opponents to score two goals. My words won’t come out properly because I am so angry with what happened. Maybe the players can give the answers.”

For those who want him gone, whilst the player should also carry the can, many will see the above as simply passing the buck – whether that’s right or not.
