Sheffield Wednesday manager Jos Luhukay saw his side take more positive steps forward in 2018/19 after a difficult summer as we reasonably easily put Bristol City to the sword on Sunday afternoon.

After a goalless first half at Ashton Gate, substitute Lucas Joao his a quick-fire brace in the final 30 minutes of the tie to give us all three points and despite the hosts hitting back late on, we held on for the three points in a 2-1 win.

Whisper it quietly, but Wednesday moved into the Play-Off spots with the victory.

Given his brace on the day to ensure the points, it’s no surprise to see WhoScored give our 25-year-old their star man rating with a score of 8.02 following the game.

Michael Hector, Cameron Dawson, Barry Bannan and Tom Lees completed our top five best performers on the day but whilst looking at the positives, there were a number to take from the showing and whilst fans can have quibbles about bits and bobs, in a results-based industry, we picked up another result.
