Team News: Sheff Wed without 3 players against Birmingham, defender and striker could return

|

Sheffield Wednesday will be without three players against Birmingham City on Saturday – Moses Odubajo (groin), Adam Reach (toe), Massimo Luongo (calf). Morgan Fox (ankle) and Steven Fletcher (knee) could return for the Owls, however.

Odubajo has been ruled out of Saturday’s clash as he’s still not recovered from a groin injury. Reach damaged his toe and has yet to return too. Luongo is struggling with a calf problem and isn’t close to making a comeback.

Fox has been out of action with an ankle injury he picked up in Wednesday’s 2-1 defeat to Wigan Athletic (January 28), but the 26-year-old has since returned to training this week and should make the matchday squad on Saturday as a result.

Fletcher has been sidelined with a knee injury that he picked up in Wednesday’s FA Cup win over Brighton & Hove Albion (January 4), but he’s made a full recovery and been training all week, so the 32-year-old should make the squad on Saturday.

Wednesday could be in for a difficult afternoon at St Andrew’s. They’re winless in their last six games and face a Birmingham side unbeaten in seven.
