Liam Palmer made his 250th appearance for Sheffield Wednesday in their 1-0 win over Charlton Athletic. The 28-year-old returned to right-back on Wednesday evening and played his part in the Owls’ keeping a first clean sheet in five games.
Palmer saw a lot of the ball, seldom relinquished possession, created numerous chances for his teammates, frequently put balls into the box, turned over possession a number of times and was effective going forward.

Nice guy, solid player.. I don't understand the grief he gets sometimes.. what he lacks in some areas, he has passion for the club, willingness to work in spades…. I'd much rather 11 Liam Palmer's than 11 Butterfield's, Abdi's, 11 David Jones's, Jordan Rhodes's etc… #UTO #250

Plus would add Liam Palmer to that – reliable whether right back or left & one long-serving player who deserves to be very much part of the future.
