Sheffield Wednesday’s start to the 2018/19 campaign didn’t exactly get off to a flyer earlier today as we went down 3-2 to Wigan Athletic.

Making the trip to the DW Stadium to face off against last season’s League One title winners, it was always going to be tough given they confidence they would come into the campaign with, and of course, despite some optimism in the fan base, it’s turned into a difficult summer for the Owls with financial concerns, plenty of speculation and Jos Luhukay is yet to make a single signing.
There were some positives from the match though, Atdhe Nuhiu and Fernando Forestieri got off the mark for the year as they gave us a glimmer of hope of a fightback but the result isn’t going to do too much for tempers ahead of next week’s meeting between the fans and owner Delphon Chansiri.
Clearly the gaffer new we had to do better across 90 minutes than that if we are to enjoy a decent season and he didn’t hide from that at the full-time whistle.

His words of wisdom weren’t well received on social media though and there are plenty of reactions that I can’t post.
Defensive football doesn't work for us, we need to be entertained.

Playing 3 centre halves when we only have one good centre half, whose playing in midfield won’t help scatman John

Players not good enough for the formation. Something must change. Either players or formation. Can't buy new players. Looks like formation then ?
