Wednesday have completed the loan signing of Stoke City striker Mamady Sidibe.
Sidibe arrives on a 28-day emergency loan deal and follows hot-on-the-heels of young full-back Jeremy Helan, who also arrived on loan at Hillsborough today from Manchester City.
Owls boss Dave Jones had been keen to add to his attacking options before today’s 5pm transfer deadline and the 32-year-old Mali international fits the bill.
Sidibe has made over 150 appearances for Stoke but has yet to feature this season and has fallen down the pecking order at the Premier League club.
He will be eligible for selection for Wednesday’s home clash against Leicester City at Hillsborough on Saturday.
