The Championship campaign of 2018/19 has turned into ‘another one of those’ for Sheffield Wednesday fans and there’s plenty of disappointment and frustration surrounding the club at this moment in time.
With far better times and promotion hopes in the rearview, the club seem to be doing their best to just put out fires at the moment, as epitomised by the recent call for another ‘open and honest’ fan forum to get grievances aired.
With the January transfer window nearing, few expect arrivals and most are hoping for some departures purely to draw a line under things and to allow us to move on properly now – for plenty, with a new manager on top.
It may have been completely innocent and I’m sure it was, but it makes a Tweet yesterday from the club on social media all the more naive in the current climate.
There will be surprise appearances from Sheffield Wednesday players over the coming days and weeks 👇 #swfc https://t.co/2I8BIyB0Wj
