Who did Sheffield Wednesday sign Josh Windass on loan from?

He told BBC Look North via Yorkshire Live: “I just have a few hours on my own and get it done because if I do it in the daytime; I set up a few circuits in the garden and (the children) are joining in after a while with the skipping rope and (other) equipment.

“We have all got our programmes and things. I am quite lucky that I have got a bit of equipment in the garage. I have been trying to mix it up between road running, using the weights and getting out on the bike and things.”

Sheffield Wednesday’s Head of Sports Science and Medicine, Tony Strudwick, devised the training plan and is in constant contact with the players to ensure they’re staying on track.

It’s difficult for players to train without a guaranteed return date to football, but Palmer is in the same boat as everyone else.

The squad will lack sharpness when the season is resumed as they can’t be at peak fitness without club equipment, but they’ll have time to work on conditioning before their first game back.

Before the Covid-19 pandemic saw football postponed, Palmer had made 28 appearances in all competitions, making one assist. While filling in at left-back when Morgan Fox was unavailable, the 28-year-old was a regular at right-back and even skippered the side on one occasion.

Palmer’s contract is up in 2021, but he could be in line for a new deal as he’s been a regular under Garry Monk, keeping Moses Odubajo out of the side.
