Fans of both Wednesday and United can celebrate 150 years of football in the Steel City alongside the world’s oldest club – Sheffield FC this month.

The club, who are set to achieve promotion to the UniBond Premier League this season, celebrate their 150th anniversary next term and have helped organise an exhibition to celebrate football in the city.

Football fans are invited to attend the exhibition at the Millennium Galleries between 18-25 May where they will be able to have a peek at some of the greatest exhibits from Sheffield’s football scene.

The Owls have already donated items to the exhibition such as Lee Bullen’s play-off final shirt which he wore for the victory over Hartlepool at Cardiff in 2005 while the 1896 Cromwell Cup and a collection from Derek Dooley’s playing days will also be on show.

Other exhibits include special memorabilia from other local clubs including Sheffield United, and a replica of the 1966 World Cup which was presented to Sheffield FC.

Entry is free for all football fans, and for more information visit www.our150th.co.uk or call 0114 201 8925.
