Owls out-of-favour midfielder Craig Rocastle is in talks with League One side Swindon Town over a loan move until the end of the season.

Rocastle was told he could leave Hillsborough earlier this year, and has not featured for the Owls in 2006, despite recovering from injury.

Paul Sturrock told the official SWFC site: ‘The deal is not done yet. Some people have jumped the gun. But they have been in negotiations with us and it would be a deal until the end of the season.

Rocky played an important role in helping the Owls to promotion last season, but has struggled to impress this term.

Sturrock signed the 24-year-old on a two-and-a-half year deal from Chelsea in February 2005. He’s played just 23 games for the Owls during that time, scoring one goal.
