Report Claims Wednesday Are Tracking Versatile QPR Free Agent This Summer

|

Sheffield Wednesday manager Steve Bruce has this week been linked with a move for soon to be Queens Park Rangers free agent Jake Bidwell.

With Wednesday’s rumour mill slightly warming up now there have been a few defensive links of late with most fans still hoping for good news on a Michael Hector front, but QPR did announce that 26-year-old Bidwell would be released next month when his contract naturally expired.

Having made the move to Loftus Road back in the summer of 2016, he has notched up 129 starting appearances since then, with an additional showing from the substitutes bench and his career tally has seen him play well over 300 matches.

The player is predominantly a left back I believe, but he can also fill in at the heart of defence as well as the left wingback/midfield position so he would offer Bruce some versatility.

The speculation linking him with us comes from Football Insider so we’ll have to see if there is anything in it.
