Young Owls striker Danny Reet is set to complete a move to League Two Mansfield Town.

Owls boss Paul Sturrock said that he would discuss Reet’s future this week and it looks as though the 18-year-old is set to leave the club, despite a promising loan spell wuth Bury last month.

A fee of around £25,000 has been agreed with the Nottinghamshire club, with a sell-on clause also part of the deal.

Mansfield boss Peter Shirtliff told the official Stags site: ”I am delighted to have agreed terms with Danny. He is a strong centre forward, got good mobility and is a proven goalscorer and I believe that he will be an asset to this club.”

Reet has not featured for the Owls but was allowed to go on loan to Bury last month. He made six appearances for the club and scored four goals during his time there.
