Queens Park Rangers are said to be lining up a final offer of £1m for highly-rated Owls’ youngster Tommy Spurr according to media reports today.

Spurr, who has his home kit sponsored by Vital Sheffield Wednesday, has already been subject of a bid from the R’s alongside fellow Owl Jermaine Johnson.

But Owls boss Brian Laws turned down the first approach for the left-back, despite the need to sell players to enable him to bring new players in during the January transfer window.

But the Loftus Road club, who have enjoyed fresh investment in recent weeks, are said to be lining up a fresh, and final approach for the Leeds-born product before the end of the January transfer window, said to be in the region of £1m.

And despite Spurr becoming a firm fans’ favourite at Hillsborough, an approach of £1m could well prove too much to resist for the cash-strapped Owls.

We’ll wait and see…
