Wednesday will hope to transfer their good away form to home soil this weekend when promotion-chasing Brighton and Hove Albion visit Hillsborough in the Championship.

The Owls have won their last two away league matches, and are unbeaten in their last five on their travels, but have picked up one point from a possible six on home soil since the turn of the year – and have failed to score a goal.

Gus Poyet’s Seagulls won’t make life easy for Dave Jones’s side, with Brighton having been unbeaten since the turn of the year before a 3-2 loss against Arsenal in the FA Cup last time out.

Wednesday Team News:

Wednesday could give home debuts to recent loan arrivals Leroy Lita and Danny Pugh for the visit of the Seagulls.

Both featured in the Owls’ 2-1 win at Charlton Athletic last weekend, Pugh from the start and Lita as a substitute who bagged the winning goal at The Valley.

Jeremy Helan has also returned to S6 on loan for the remainder of the season from Manchester City and is expected to return to Jones’s matchday squad.

Player to watch: Leroy Lita

Lita, on-loan from Swansea City, made an immediate impact on his Owls debut last week, netting the winner at Charlton, and he’ll be hoping to be on the scoresheet again in what would be his first outing in the blue and white stripes at Hillsborough.

Brighton Team News:

Brighton have been in good form in the Championship but that did not stop boss Poyet making moves in the transfer market last month.

Matthew Upson arrived at the club on a loan deal until the end of the season from Stoke City and is expected to go straight into Poyet’s matchday squad.

Leonardo Ulloa could also make his league debut for the Seagulls after arriving last month from Spanish side Almeria. Ulloa netted on his debut for the club in the FA Cup loss against Arsenal last time out.

A new face to English football, Ulloa impressed on his Brighton debut, finding the back of the net in the 3-2 FA Cup defeat against Arsenal last time out.
