Prediction: Defender to return, 24-year-old to start at CB, fullback to switch flanks

|

Sheffield Wednesday are enduring a poor run of form in 2020 and Garry Monk could make a number of changes ahead of their meeting with Luton Town as a result. The Owls have already conceded nine goals since the turn of the year, so Monk may tweak a few things in defence.

Morgan Fox is expected to return from injury, having been close to featuring in Saturday’s 1-1 draw with Barnsley. He should start at left-back, pushing Liam Palmer to the right in place of Dominic Iorfa who may be given a central role on Wednesday.

Tom Lees and Julian Borner underperformed against the Tykes and were both heavily criticised by supporters on social media, so Monk could consider dropping one of the pair for Iorfa to come in.

Wednesday are in poor form of late, having picked up just one win from their last eight league outings. The Owls currently sit 11th in the table with 44 points from 31 games and are now six adrift of the playoffs. They’re big favourites to beat Luton, however, as the Hatters are rock bottom in the Championship.
