Young Wednesday goalkeeper Arron Jameson made his debut for Conference North side Harrogate Town as they held leaders Droylsden to a 2-2 draw today.

Jameson, a product of the Wednesday Academy, was sent out to Harrogate on loan earlier this week by boss Brian Laws, as he looked to give the the youngster some first team experience.

And, despite conceding two goals, he was part of a new-look Harrogate side, struggling at the wrong end of the Conference North, that held leaders Droylsden to a stalemate on Saturday.

The stopper will be team mates with former Sheffield United midfielder Curtis Woodhouse and former Leicester City striker Trevor Benjamin, who were both in Harrogate’s starting eleven.

Jameson is expected to keep the number one jersey when Harrogate host Alfreton Town next Saturday.
