Wednesday hot prospect Liam Palmer has received a call-up to a training camp with the Scotland under-19’s.

The midfielder has been in top form with the Owls’ U18 team so far this season, grabbing rave reviews for his performances along the way.

Owls boss Alan Irvine has also revealed he’s a big fan of the youngster, promoting him to the first team and including him on the bench since taking charge at S6.

Palmer qualifies to play for Scotland thanks to his grandparents on one side of his family.

The youngster, and the Owls, will be hoping his selection is the first of many international call-ups as he looks to continue his rapid progression in the game.
