Wednesday have bolstered their squad with two new loan additions today.

Bolton Wanderers midfielder Stuart Holden has signed until April 24, while veteran striker Steve Howard has arrived at Hillsborough from Hartlepool United until the end of the season.

The pair arrived before today’s loan transfer deadline and follow hot-on-the-heels of Seyi Olofinjana, who penned a loan deal until the end of the campaign from Championship rivals Hull City.

All three players are eligible to go straight into Wednesday’s big Championship clash at home against Barnsley on Saturday.

Owls boss Dave Jones had been eager to boost his squad for the Championship run-in, especially following the recall of previous loan player Connor Wickham to Sunderland and a season-ending injury to attacker Michail Antonio.
