Wednesday will announce their list of retained players tomorrow, according to reports from BBC Radio Sheffield.

Owls manager Dave Jones has decided which out-of-contracts will be offered a new deal to stay at Hillsborough and which will be allowed to leave for pastures new.

Winger Jermaine Johnson is one of the players who’s been playing for a new deal to remain at the club, while others including goalkeepers Stephen Bywater and Richard O’Donnell and defenders Mark Beevers and Jon Otsemobor are also out of contract this summer.

O’Donnell has been linked with a move to Rotherham United this summer but Bywater could remain at S6 after helping the Owls to promotion this season.

Jones could also announce which players will be available for transfer as he starts to build his squad for next season’s npower Championship campaign.

The Owls’ success in achieving automatic promotion rather than waiting for a possible promotion via the play-offs has allowed the Owls boss to start work on his squad for the 2012-13 campaign.
