Wednesday remain third in npower League One after Huddersfield Town could only manage a draw at Stevenage Borough.
The Terriers could have moved above Wednesday had they beaten Boro, also chasing for promotion this season, in one of their two games in-hand.
But, although Simon Grayson’s men led 2-0, Borough battled back to bag a share of the spoils, despite Town stopper Alex Smithies denying them from the penalty spot.
The Terriers sit a point behind Wednesday but still have a game in hand on the Owls.
