Sheffield Wednesday Ladies are preparing for their third County Cup clash on the spin when they take on Doncaster Rovers Belles at the Keepmoat Stadium this weekend.

The Owls make the short trip to Doncaster for the semi-final on Sunday after freescoring County Cup victories against Dinnington Town and Beighton Magpies in previous rounds.

They’ve bagged 43 goals and conceded none en route to their clash with the Belles.

But boss Liam Kelly is set to make changes to his squad as he puts league survival at the top of his priority list.

Kelly said: ‘Primary aim – survival. That was my brief on taking the job and that as to be the focus.

‘With weeks without training over Christmas and New Year and cut up pitches we do have a few injury problems mainly ankles and knees along with a few players who need a rest.

‘Taking into account our next two games Preston at home and Curzon away we have to be sensible in selection. I can only name 3 players who are 100 per cent fit, but at the same time it’ll give us a chance to look at a few younger inexperienced players and a few players we have out on loan around South Yorkshire returning.

‘But we’ll prepare the same, as this is a cup we respect.’
