Wednesday’s clash with Burnley on Saturday is set to get the green light after officials from both clubs revealed the snow that has swept the country will not threaten its go-ahead.

Snow storms hit the south of England early on Thursday morning – but the same weather conditions have failed to materialise in Lancashire as the Clarets have seen only slight snowfall.

And with Burnley’s Turf Moor ground fitted with under-soil heating, the game is set to be given the go-ahead should the conditions across the pennines remain the same.

Owls fans are reminded that there are around 500 tickets left for sale as of Thursday lunchtime – with a further batch of tickets available for sale on the doors at Turf Moor.
