Wednesday know all of their opponents in npower League One next season after Peterborough United secured promotion to the Championship via the play-offs.

Posh beat Huddersfield Town 3-0 at Old Trafford in today’s League One play-off final, leaving Lee Clark’s Terriers facing another season in the third tier of English football.

It makes for an interesting division next season as far as Wednesday are concerned, with Town’s stay in League One meaning a number of local derby matches next term.

The Owls will face Sheffield United, of course, in a Steel City derby next season, while the promotion of Chesterfield from League Two makes for another local derby.

Stevenage won promotion via the League Two play-offs yesterday, joining Bury and Wycombe Wanderers (as well as Chesterfield) in League One alongside Gary Megson’s men next term.

Joining the Blades in relegation down from the Championship are Preston North End and Scunthorpe United.
