Wednesday striker Francis Jeffers has been linked with a move to Doncaster Rovers in this morning’s media reports.

The former Everton and Arsenal man has endured a tough time in the famous blue and white stripes since moving to Hillsborough from Blackburn Rovers.

And according to Sky Sports News and The Sun, the ‘fox in the box’ is a target for Championship rivals Doncaster, with a figure believed to be around £500,000 mentioned.

But, contrary to the reports, Owls boss Brian Laws has revealed that he could be bringing Jeffers back into the Owls’ starting line-up for the trip to Newcastle United tomorrow night.

Wednesday are already down on numbers in attack, and although a decent fee could tempt the Owls to sell, an offer needs to be forthcoming sooner rather than later, with the Owls keen to use any incoming cash to bolster their squad ahead of the transfer deadline.
